About Myself

My name is Kaleen Repsher. I have been painting since childhood, it was one of my first loves. I began with sketching, and took classes in high school to help guide my skill, though I am mostly a self-taught artist. While I never pursued selling my art, I found myself loving the experience of seeing family members, and friends' eyes light up with joy when I would give them a piece of my art. After being diagnosed with PTSD I found myself pouring my emotions and passion for new life into my art. I am creating contemporary modern abstract art fueled by emotion and passion, and what has come out is thought-provoking visual stories of healing and understanding of my journey. My art has given me a voice to which there are no words, merely emotion and creative energy. Each of my paintings holds a story, whether created through passion, lust, anger, fear or happiness. I have found myself ready to share my story and want to help spread awareness about surviving and growing with my creative journey.
